NRW Minister President Hendrik Wüst visits Heede

The Minister President of North Rhine-Westphalia, Hendrik Wüst, visited us in Heede on Monday, 19.09.2022. He visited the Green Energy Park. This is an inter-municipal business park of the municipalities of Heede and Dersum. There he visited the transformer station, which acts as a hub for transporting offshore electricity inland. Mr. Wüst also assured his support on the subject of geothermal energy and hydrogen, which is to be implemented in the Green Energy Park in the future. He then visited the Kanne Group to find out more about its diverse activities. Managing Director Hermann Kanne presented his group of companies, which serves a wide range of sectors from gastronomy and the hotel industry to real estate and recruiting. The latest projects are two locations in the new Humboldt Forum in our German capital Berlin, Restaurant Wilhelm and Deli Alexander.

Minister President Wüst was impressed by the innovative drive and economic strength in Emsland and then signed the joint Golden Book of Heede and Dersum.
