Clearly the unmistakable traceability of the entire crop growing, trade and production chain. You can just taste how José in Mexico or Isaac in Uganda picked the coffee beans on the coffee farms while happily whistling their favourite tunes. Being able to taste the warmth and chracter of southern climes in our coffee is just as much an affair of the heart as growing the coffee itself. Not for nothing can the Kanne Rösterei call several coffee farms its own. That’s why we regularly go to the farms in person, check up on the crops, meet the Josés and the Isaacs and chat with them at length. This means we get an immediate impression of the outstanding quality of the produce, we can grow unique coffee plants there and at the same time guarantee local coffee farmers a fair, secure and long-term income. Accordingly, social aspects behind the coffee are much more to the fore than at first it might seem.
