We roast fresh, directly imported green coffees from small organic farms, e.g. from Mexico, Peru and Papua New Guinea, for you every day. Coffee – an elixir of aromatic perfection for centuries. Wars have been fought over the black gold and daughters have been traded. In addition to its caffeine content and aromatic diversity, coffee has become a drink of society since its discovery. For us, however, coffee is one thing: rock’n’roll! Due to its complexity and high caffeine content, we are developing ever more interesting and new flavors in our roastery. We are liberating coffee from the coffee circle and bringing it back onto the streets. Classic or rethought coffee.

Coffee is punk! As colorful as the streets of Rio de Janeiro. As multifaceted as a good comic book movie. Harmonious like the guitar sounds of Santana and yet rebellious like pubescent children. We love coffee, we love the art of roasting and the character of each of our varieties. Our creations are wild and new. Or have you ever tried a coffee with a hint of almond and peach? We grow our own varieties on our own and selected partner plantations and regularly check the conditions under which the coffee is grown. We can only offer you excellent premium coffee and guarantee consistent quality thanks to our coffee farmers’ many years of expertise and constant monitoring. As part of the Direct Trade initiative, we also support direct trade with independent small farmers on site – without any middlemen.

Clearly the unmistakable traceability of the entire cultivation, trade and production chains. You can taste how José in Mexico or Isaac in Uganda pick the coffee fruits on the coffee farms while happily whistling their favorite songs. Being able to taste the warmth and temperament of southern countries in our coffee is just as much a matter of the heart as coffee growing itself. It is not for nothing that Kanne Rösterei can call several coffee farms its own. That’s why we regularly travel to the farms in person, enquire about the plants, meet Josés and Isaacs and chat with them. In this way, we get a direct picture of the outstanding quality of the products, can grow unique coffee plants there and at the same time guarantee local coffee farmers a fair, secure and long-term income. This means that the social aspect behind the coffee is much more important than it might seem at first glance.
